front lines, DebateOurFuture decided to use proven methods
and existing platforms that have been in-place for years to
securely access necessary verification information. Our youth is our
future; and as a business we have a need and responsibility to
protect them while protecting our business from potential liability
(see COPA and
COPPA). Our membership also has a need for a safe
trusted online environment. The Identity verification process protects
our members by holding the members responsible for their
actions and behavior. Through Age and ID Verification, the members
are not aliased or anonymous to the management of
DebateOurFuture. Although our members are aliased by the use of a
username throughout the website, every username is related to a
verified person in our databases. The sum of the 1st and last digit
of a social
security number provides a unique method of solving many identity
fraud issues while staying within compliance of federal regulations.
The Age and ID Verification results are based on
information found in billions of records that come from hundreds of
trusted data sources.
The service provider and DebateOurFuture are not an aggregator of
data. We do not collect, store, sell, or share data. The system
responsibly compares the user's registration form entries against
public data resources to provide an answer to the age and identity
query. While much of the world devises complex and expensive
identity solutions that are intrusive to the customer and is
resource intensive, this non-intrusive age and identity
authentication is a method of checking on the members registration
age without asking too much information. When integrating the
system, the developer has kept the customers privacy, ease of use,
and low impact on resources, in-mind.
The Age and ID verification system currently works only
for residents of the United States. The system will be
expanded to European residents in the near future..

Unfortunately, safety is not free. The
"Value Added Proposition" of the Age and Identity Verification
system is justified by the" Value Of Trusted Membership". Age and
Identity is re-verified periodically throughout your subscription
period to maintain the "Trust Value". No information is collected by
DebateOurFuture from this verification process. Because DebateOurFuture
retains your true identity, members are accountable for actions and
behavior associated with their account. (see "safety")
How Age And Identification Verification Works
The process is seamlessly integrated into the registration process. Just fill in the registration form and
answer the questions truthfully. Please be patient, it can take up
to a minute to verify your information. If you have provided
accurate information, you should be processed quickly and sent to
the subscription payment form. There is a 5% failure rate for
verification due to changed addresses, ambiguous results and
